Purchased a Macbook 13 inch M1 2020 1 month ago.
The apple at the back of the screen does NOT light when I open my Macbook. Is it meant to not light up?
The apple has not been lighting up since I bought it

I don't have a 2020 M1 MacBook Pro, but the Air instead ... and the Apple logo does NOT light up. I would venture to say, it doesn't on the Pro model either.

Newer MacBookPro models do not have luminescent Apple logo, just shiny..
Apple made a design change.

You're very welcome! I believe they done this to keep the overall display depth slimmer and overall easier to carry.
You are right. I was just so used to see the light of the apple :-)
