Battery charge drops from full charge to 10% in seconds?

when I remove my 1st gen se from power cord it shows 100% charge but within 20 seconds too a minute or so it dives too a 10% charge an shuts down. It does not always happen but it is frequent. I’m running 14.6 as operating software and battery shows as being degraded.

MacBook Pro 14” charging question Hey all, Is it normal for the status of the battery to be on “Battery not charging” within the first 5 seconds before it moves to “charging”? This is happening quite consistently when I go to charge my device. Optimised battery charging is set to off by the way.

Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health

What does it show? You may be due for a battery replacement, which can be done at any Apple Store Genius Bar.
