I can't find the software update section on my laptop

What this is Found:

1. Go To: Apple menu
2. Tap: About This Mac
3. Tap: Software Update... button
4. Proceed from there as necessary

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and depending on which MacBook Pro model you have, click on Mojave, Catalina, or Big Sur. It needs to be at least a 2012 one to run a newer OS.
