How do I get back to the old format for text messages? After I get a group text, a circle with their images appears at the top. If I get another text from that group, a dot appears on the circle. I tried turning off "show contact images" in settings but they're still there. I want the old format appearance back. :(
I didn't "pin" anything. I didn't even know about "pins." They just appeared! Maybe it's some kind of update. I did as you said, and it worked! I hope it no longer happens. Thanks so much for your help!

If the images are at the top of the screen above the texts you have pinned those contacts. Hold your finger on one and tap Unpin.
