How can I eliminate a number from iMessage and FaceTime if don’t have the phone number and I don’t have the iPhone?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 14

Sign out of Messages/FaceTime and then remove the number from your Apple ID. Allow 24 hours for the change sync. Then sign back into Messages/FaceTime.

If you go to Settings/Messages/Send & Receive, does the number show there?

iMessage on your iPhone or online - Deregister.

Messages or FaceTime - Add or remove your phone number

One more place to check. Does the phone number show on your Apple ID?
