Earphones keep breaking

Hi so I had earphones from my last iPhone (which I’ve had for 2 years) I recently upgraded and didn’t get any new ones but my old ones broke in the right side the sound wasn’t as loud, so I got some more and again I was using them and the right one just stopped working. I’ve got my third pair and again the right one has stopped working?! I’m so confused because I’m careful with them so I don’t get what’s happening? I wonder if it’s my charger port but my phone charges fine?

iPhone 12, iOS 14

Hello Laurenbaker0,

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the issue you're having with your headphones and the right side not working as expected. If you haven't already, check the Balance slider to make sure it's centered. To do that tap Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual, then scroll down to find the Balance slider. If needed, center it, then test your headphones again. If the behavior continues, these steps may help: If your headphones don't work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let us know how it goes.

Take care.
