Automatic line selection

Hi!

I have 2 sim cards in my iPhone (a physical and an e-sim).

Each line is of a different country (I live in Europe, so that's relatively normal), my problem is that every time I make a phone call, I have to remember to pick the correct line, and if I forget, I get ripped off with international charges and whatnot, so my question is, given the numbers I'm calling have different country codes, how come the iPhone is not smart enough to figure out which line to use automagically?

Set your default number

Choose a number to use when you call or send a message to someone who isn't in your Contacts app. With iOS 13 and later, choose which cellular plans you want to use for iMessage and FaceTime. With iOS 13 and later, you can choose either or both numbers.

On this screen, choose a number to be your default, or you can choose which number is to be used only for cellular data. Your other number will be your default. If you want your iPhone to use cellular data from both plans, depending on coverage and availability, turn on Allow Cellular Data Switching.

Hi!

Yeah, I know all of that, my problem is about dialing random numbers, like when calling tech support or ordering pizza.

The default line doesn't solve that, cause I call both countries with about the same frequency, and they tend to be one-off calls, so I don't have/want to add them to my contacts.
