Getting Siri to Announce SMS and Read Them Out.

I'm new to iPhone and have the 12 Pro Max and am trying to get Siri to read my messages. I've looked in Setting but cannot find the option “ announce messages” . I'm running on 14.6 and use Airpods Pro.

Thanks.

Go to Settings > Notifications > Announce Messages with Siri and make sure Announce Messages with Siri is turned on. Then tap Messages and make sure that Announce Messages with Siri is turned on there too. Make sure that your iPhone or iPad is locked and its screen is dark.
