Share photo with myself

I take a photo, click on the share icon, then below the photo is a list of people whom I have texted with. However, I am not in the list. How do I ensure that I am in the list?

If you are using the same Apple ID on all your devices AND you have turned Photos on in the cloud on all your devices, any photo you take or save on any device will appear on ALL devices.

Do you use the same Apple ID on your Devices?

If you go to Settings > Your Name, iCloud, Media & Purchases and tap iCloud, are photos turned on?

If you don't use the same Apple ID on your other devices and you need to send a photo to yourself from Photos, instead of texting it, email it, then save it on any of the devices where you can access your email.

I will rephrase my question...

If I take a photo and send it to myself in messages the photo is on my other devices and I can delete it from my phone. If I were to delete it from my photos on my iphone when using the iCloud thing, it would delete it from the cloud and it would not be accessible on any of my devices. If it is in my messages thread it is not going to get deleted EVER.

If I'm in a store and I snap a quick photo of a label to look at later, I can send it to myself and delete it. Then it is on my iMac later when I want to see it. The problem with the iCloud is that it deletes my photos.

I was just asking if anyone knows how to get myself into that list.
