Accidentally opened spam email & unsubscribed

I accidentally clicked unsubscribe on a spam email and it had taken me to a spam website. I am really worried my iPhone & the camera on my iPhone has been hacked and convinced myself someone is watching me!! Is this possible? & can someone gain access to your phone/camera just by opening spam mail alone? Or by clicking on a link? If so how do I know? I’ve changed all my email addresses and passwords in advance. I have nothing to say I have been hacked apart from spam emails. Please help & stop my worrying as google has just made me worry more.

Keep the iPhone updated to the latest iOS always and never Jailbreak. That's it.

iOS / iPadOS devices cannot be hacked or infected with Virus / Malware / Spyware if it is updated to the latest iOS/iPadOS unless you have intentionally downloaded spurious software or unauthorized apps directly from the internet and installed on your device or/and have Jail Broken.

It (Hacking) also depends on how careful are you in sharing sensitive and valuable information pertaining to your iPhone such as Passcode, Password etc with your friends and family members.

Be careful when sharing the device's sensitive and valuable information with friends and family members.

Thumb Rules:

Enable Guided Access before handing over an iPhone to kids
Don't share Apple IDs
Don't Jail Break
Don't share sensitive information pertaining to your device and payment methods
Beware of Phishing

Your iCloud mailing address is encrypted by Apple. For normal circumstances, iPhone will require your permission to access Camera/ Microphone. As longs as u don’t allow access, it should be fine.

I haven’t downloaded apps or anything, just clicked on an spam email and the unsubscribe link. My iPhone is always updated with latest iOS. I am not sure what my camera settings were set to on the privacy settings though which is the only thing still worrying me. I also don’t share any info. What are the chances if I didn’t know about my camera settings?

Has anyone else had similar worries or any advice? I am just worrying as I clicked on the spam email by accident and then in panic I clicked unsubscribe and it took me to a website, worried they’ve gained access to my phone, iCloud or phone camera that way without me knowing?

Thank you, I was worrying if they could gain access without my knowledge and wasn’t sure on the privacy settings for my camera before I factory reset my phone.
