There are some instances if the Network download speed is suspect, can cause this error.
—try faster Network or closer to your router or Ethernet connection
—verify your tech specs and compatibility
—try downloading from a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Which macOS installer are you having issues?
How are you accessing the installer? Are you running the installer app from within macOS? If so, then delete the app and empty the Trash. Then download the installer again. You can find links to macOS 10.11 to 11.4 from links within this Apple article which also includes optional instructions for creating a bootable macOS USB installer:

If you accessing the installer in a different method, then please provide more details.
In addition to Leroy's suggestion to empty the Trash, I would add to look in your Applications folder for an older, updated version of the installer.
If present, delete it and empty the Trash. Even without being corrupted, an outdated copy already on the computer is a chief cause of that error message, in spite of Apple's non-intuitive wording in the warning.
