How to unlock my phone after many failed attempts ?

Hi ,

This problem has very likely happened many times before , any suggestions, help is greatly appreciated.

I changed my IPhone password, it accepted my new one, but now I am not allowed in ,and after many failed attempts to restore by following the directions to restore data, not happy. I am now locked out for an hour, the lockout times are increasing. I also use my phone for work.

I have tried the 123456 option one time too.
