Calendar Holidays not matching region

I live in the United States (mid-Atlantic) and have my settings set to the US. Every few days, the calendar holidays will switch to Canada, despite the setting still being set to the US. I have to switch to a third country then switch back to get the US holidays until it happens again.

It has happened on iPhone 11 and 12, so it doesn’t appear tied to the hardware.

Hi Juan Rivera1,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that the US Holidays calendar switches to Canada and we're happy to help! To resolve your problem follow the steps below and check to see if the problem is still there after each one:

  1. Back up iPhone and Update iOS on iPhone
  2. Change iPhone Region to Canada then back to US: Set the language and region on iPhone
  3. Delete Calendar app, then redownload Calendar app:

We hope this helps.

Take care.

Juan Rivera1,

It sounds like you're still having the same problem with the US Holiday Calendar switching to Canada. If you've checked to make sure your iPhone software is up to date, changed iPhone region & reinstalled the Calendar app, then we want you to follow the steps found in the Apple Support articles below:

Use iCloud calendar subscriptions

If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync

Have a nice day.
