Safari Update

Trying to update to the latest version of Safari but my iMac does not offer software update and the App store only shows safari apps for iOS devices. My Macbook, same year and OS as my iMac, was able to do it. But no idea how it's done on the iMac.

iMac 27″, OS X 10.11

Safari 11.1.2. is the latest Safari version available for macOS 10.11.6 El Capitan. There is no newer version for that macOS version.

If you updated the MacBook Pro recently then it got that version of Safari, while your iMac already had it. Or your MacBook is not in fact running 10.11.6, but something newer, and as such got a newer version of Safari.

Either way, the iMac is currently as updated as it can be for Safari.
