where can i find the apple audio units on my harddrive, that come with mac os?

i would like to get rid of the au's so that they do not show up in the plugin lists of my daws anymore.

i don't want to use these plugins and removing them completely would be the best way.

searching for the names of the plugins does not show them and they are not in the same folder as the third party audio units that the user can install.

can anybody help?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Hello, fledermaushöhle.

Where are third-party Audio Units plug-ins installed on Mac? - Apple Support:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201532

Per the above link...

"Built-in effects and instruments included with Apple apps like Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage, and Final Cut Pro don't appear in the Library folders and can't be removed manually."

thanks for your reply!

in the places you mention usually third party plugins are installed.

but there are several plugins (eq's, compressors, actually any kind of) that come with the os from apple.

those ones i cant find anywhere. also searching for the names of these plugins they dont show up in finder.

but they are shown for example in ableton under the developer name "apple", and also in harrison mixbus.

the two daw's treat them like any other third party au-plugins that i can install myself.

but as i said, they are not found in the normal place that you also mentioned.
