Apple tv app ipad pro - playlist function?

Hey community!

I love using the apple tv video app on my macbook pro, especially to play my personal, downloaded videos. However, I have an Ipad pro which I take with me basically everywhere and I don’t seem to be able to create my own video playlists in the app.

Have I just not figured it out? Is Apple going to release that function at one point soon?

And if I can’t use the TV app, which video apps can you recommend?

Hi Midwarika.

From our understanding you're unable create a playlist in the Apple TV app on your iPad, however you are on the Mac. You are correct about creating playlists in the Apple TV app on your Mac, however it isn't an option on your iPad.

We do not have additional information in regards to the feature being available on the iPad, but if you would like to submit feedback or suggestions, you may do so here: Product Feedback

Basically, you are outta luck!

The TV app for iOS/iPadOS does NOT have this feature.

There are no other apps that will let you play your own video/movie content on a iPad and none that will create playlists.

The ONLY thing you can do is maybe store this content on external USB flash memory drives or external SSD and transfer each movie/video over to the iPad/iPadOS TV app and transfer/play the content in the order it is stored on the external drive.
