how can I convert .cr2 to jpg ot another format

I have almost 7000 photos from 8 or more years ago that are in raw format (.CR2) in Photos. I'm unable to do any editing, export them or convert them to JPG from within photos. I was able to find the original CR2 files in the Photos Library however instead of having the name IMG_5547.CR2 they have the name FF623D92-DEBE-4D8D-BD12-8E71F6093C88.cr2. To add to my confusion, the photo I am interested in does not appear where I would expect to see it in the search result.

How may I convert them to an editable format while losing minimal clarity and maintaining the camera information such as: Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS. And doing them in a batch?

Never mind. I can convert them and several at a time. But I still cannot find the missing file that appears on photos. Odd.
