how do i correct/edit the email that I used to set up my apple ID

when setting up the apple ID for my new phone I incorrectly typed the email address attached a PW and of course it sent me a code to the phone to put in to verify but the email was incorrect so it couldn't verify

email updated on apple id I changed my email address on my account and now trying to log into my iPad. Its asking for a verification code, but my computer or phone is not producing one because the email is changed on them. How can I update the iPad with the new apple id (email)?

apple id email is wrong on iphone The apple id email is wrong on my Apple iphone, and it will not let me change it. It is for an account that does not exist. it keeps making me put in a password for it but there is no way to change the id email.

I'm not sure this works with an unverified email. Note the restrictions in the article.
