That app became the Paramount+ app.
Eh no, that is not what happened. CBS All Access became Paramount+. Showtime is still Showtime. Existing bundle subscribers were able to continue with their bundle, although the offer is not available to new or returning subscribers.
Apple TV app Channel Paramount+ subscribers can access Paramount+ in the separate Paramount+ app as well, when they confirm their subscription, as indicated in the previous post, without re-subscribing. Showtime has nothing to do with that. If Showtime is part of your subscriptions, then you can continue to watch Showtime in the Apple TV app Channel. You can continue to watch Paramount+ in the Apple TV app or in the separate Paramount+ app; user choice.
Trying to use the Paramount+ outside the AppleTV+ app is not usable because the subscription of CBS and Showtime is missing when used outside of the AppleTV+ app.
Once you have confirmed your existing subscription with Paramount+, then you will have sign-in credentials for the Paramount+ app, where you may access your shows (including ‘Big Brother’) on your existing subscription.
I asked how do I delete an app that shows up on the Apple TV, not the Apple TV app itself. The problem here is of nomenclature from Apple. The device has the same name as an app on the device.
Anyway, I tried to delete the Paramount+ app and could not do it. Holding down on the selection button until the icon jiggles, never happens. I tried to delete the Paramount+ from inside the AppleTV Plus app because it has a problem with playing Big Brother episodes. I would have replaced it from the App Store. But alas no joy.

If you have the separate Paramount+ app on the home screen, then you can delete that as described.
For the Paramount+ Channel inside the TV app, you can’t delete that or replace that.
They can co-exist, as they are mostly for different types of subscriptions. While much of the content may be the same, the service terms and conditions, and perks and limitations are not the same.
Paramount+ does allow you to create an additional Paramount+ account from your Channel subscription, so that you may access Paramount+ outside the Apple TV app as well. Please visit www.paramountplus.com/apple and follow the instructions.
