Home Sharing

I am signed in on the apple tv; however, it will not accept my id or pw when trying to open Home Sharing. I am using a 2nd gen apple tv. Spoke with apple support, had reset the apple tv, and didn't realize when I was talking with him that it wasn't the log in to the apple tv itself that was the issue, it's the login trying to use Home Sharing. Any help? They won't let me schedule another support call.

You may need to generate and Use an app-specific password - Apple Support.

Thank you. I will try tomorrow. Between trying to make that work all day and spending hours every day to try and get mini dv's uploaded to iMovie and then burn to a dvd (which probably took me five days to figure out and it still doesn't work great), I am certifiably brain dead. Again, thanks and maybe some cells will rejuvenate by morning.
