How do I clear docs from iCloud storage?

You might want to start with a back-up (eg: to an external hard drive) of any important files you want to keep.

Then

You can delete files you no longer want to store in iCloud Drive by following the info in the article below..

Important: When you delete a file from iCloud Drive on iCloud.com,

it’s also deleted from all your devices set up to use iCloud Drive.
