Messenger Sound Notification cannot change

My iphone 12 only allows me to turn sound notification 'on' or 'off' for messenger. How do I change the sound (plus the stop the annoying second notification that come through if I don't check the message right away)?

You can't, Facebook hasn't provided such an option.
