GarageBand issues- 5th gen IPad pro

On the 4th gen I have no issues with GB but in the 5th gen I am only able to use the app after a ‘reboot’ and if I accidentally swipe up to context switch, the app goes buggy and will no longer play, cycle thru the grid or behave normally.

Any ideas? I have disabled iCloud for GarageBand but it doesn’t help. TIA

Thanks for reaching out through the Apple Support Communities about that difficulty with GarageBand.


Do those behaviors still persist after following the steps from this article? If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open


If so, you’ll want to reach out to Apple Support so they can look into that further: Contact Apple Support


Hopefully that resource puts you on the path to getting this addressed.
