iMac 2021 Beginner

I am looking for some video's that can help me learn about the iMac 2021. I have ordered my new iMac and want to learn all of the in's and out's of being an effective user of this new experience. I have other apple devices but have never gotten a good overview of how to use them.

I would really like to get as good on my iMac as I am on my PC. I have never learned how to do some of the rudimentary functions that are so common on PC.

Is this possible? Are there learning Videos?

I´d suggest going to https://macmost.com. Click on "Video Tutorials" at the top left of the main page. Amongst loads of stuff he has a whole category of "Beginner´s Guides" comprising 37 videos.

In my opinion this is the best channel for Mac and iPhone tutorials. Even though I've been a Mac user since 1991 I keep on learning from Gary Rosenzweig, the channel´s operator. His tutorial videos are clear and excellent! Good luck! Hope this helps you! Regards, Ian.

There are many videos on Youtube, you can search for M1 iMac user guide or similar and get a ton of results.

Most basic functions on a Mac are done pretty much the same way they are done on a PC. With some minor variations.

I’ll add-on that if you live near an Apple Store; their “sessions” are very helpful.

I generally refer to it as “Apple School.”

They run from “basic” to “advanced.”

You can check on the scheduled classes for ALL stores - as well as sign-up - using the Apple Store app which I suspect might already be on your new iMac.

Oh, and there’s no added charge for these sessions.

I've used David Pogues missing manual books for years. They are fun to read and are excellent references for your Mac.

I have a local store and have looked through several that all seem to be good. None pop out out as better than another. I even once read "Mac for Dummies" series that was very good.
