print driver for Dell 5110cn laser printer

I'm looking for the Dell 5110cn printer driver for macOS X. The Dell printer driver software download page appears to have only the drivers for Windows OS. The last version of the Mac software is v3015.102 PS. Can anyone possibly help?

Hi,

The Dell 5110cn appears to emulate/support PostScript 3, PCL 6, PCL 5c. If nothing else works, you could perhaps try a generic PostScript or PCL printer driver provided by the operating system (Add a printer on Mac - Apple Support, see Add a network printer by its IP address, the Use menu).

If necessary, reset the printing system.

Three things:

A. Download Drivers Only from Manufacturers:

Important: If you want to get drivers for something, do not get them from a Third-Party, as that may end up being a potential Malware Installation or a Phishing Scam.

B. Chat with Dell:

See if Dell has an option for you. Dell probably has yet to do their part in compatibility.

  1. Go Here: https://www.dell.com/
  2. Click: Chat or Call (on far-left of screen)
  3. Proceed form there as necessary

C. Run this Through a Virtual Machine:

If there ends up being not solution for Catalina, consider using a Virtual Machine(VM) for this printer (Windows-in-a-window). You would open items in it, and print right off of that. All would be accessed and would operate as desired on the VM. Virtual Machine applications include VMWare Fusion and ParallelsLearn more here: What Is a Virtual Machine? - VMWare Support.
