Sound Output Devices not found

Recently my Macbook Pro (2015) has stopped playing sound through the internal speakers. I checked the System Preferences and nothing shows up under Sound Devices: "No output devices found". I plug in a pair of headphones to the jack and the same thing: "No output devices found".

I recently bought a pair of wireless headphones and I can play sound through them when I connect through bluetooth. The sound problem started after I bought and started using these Soundsport headphones from Bose.

I have updated the OS to Big Sur. No change. Created a new user and no change. Restarted in Safe Mode, tried a NVRAM reset, no change. I ran First Aid on the Disk Utility and there was a line that read "Volume cannot be unmounted". Not sure if that is connected..?

Thanks in advance for any help you folks can offer.
