What is the allowed time to get data transferred from old iMac to new one before the trade in window closes?

I believe I read that you are allowed about a week and then need to mail it. I've also read that the third party company partner has sent out emails stating that you did not send the Mac within the window allowed so their offer has been withdrawn.
You said the new one came on the 6th - since it is the 11th today, 5 days are gone. I'd try to get it shipped Monday or Tuesday. Also take pics before packaging it and keep a copy of the tracking number so you can check on the progress.
How long am I given to ship back my trade in iMac? I received the return packaging a week or so ago, and the new computer came on the 6th of July. I need a little time to complete the work preparatory to returning the old one. Thanks.
