Yellow edge discoloration on iPad Pro 12.0 2021 XDR display

I have noticed this issue on my IPP 2021 12.9. One of the long sides of the iPad shows this yellow discoloration as shown in the second photo. (The first photo is the unaffected side at the same time). I think it might have to do with heat? It seems like to get more pronounced when the iPad is under load and that side seems to get hotter overall. Are other people seeing this issue. I am not trying to nitpick but it is distracting after I first noticed it when checking a final edit on a photo but realized it wasn’t the photo after at all. Is this across 12.9 xdr dispays or is this a defective device. I personally would consider this a defect as I would hope if this was just vignette issue that it would be consistent along all the edges, thus less distracting.

Hello Acarodeux,

We are sorry to hear that you have some discoloration on the display.

Does this happen during all uses, or does it only happen while using certain apps?

Is your iPad up to date? You can Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch by following the steps here.

Have a great day!

Hello again Acarodeux,

Thank you for the information!

If your iPad is warmer in that area, try the steps here: Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable operating temperatures

If those steps do not help, it may be a hardware issue. You can Get Support here for that.

Take care!
