If you are experiencing difficulties with reliable charging, you may have a problem with the Power Adapter, the charging cable, or the iPad itself.

You should note that the Power Adapter must be rated at 10-12W minimum to charge an iPad; a 5W iPhone Power Adapter is inadequate.

If you are unable to identify the source of the problem, you would be well advised to take your iPad, Power Adapter and cables along to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your kit.
