iTunes Gift Card vs Gift Certificate

Can anyone explain to me the difference between an iTunes Gift Card and a Gift Certificate? I plan on purchasing one or the other as a Christmas gift for my neice who has an iPod and likes to buy from the iTunes Music Store, but I wasn't sure if I should get the Card or Certificate. She will most likely just buy songs with it, nothing else.

Thanks,

Bill

Hi William,

A Gift Card, such as those available at many stores, can be used by whomever receives the card. They enter the code from the back of the card into iTunes, and the value is then credited to their account.

A certificate, bought on-line through the iTMS, is pre-assigned in some ways to a specific person. You tell Apple where to send the certificate (by e-mail).

A Gift Cart is better for a Christmas Present, as they won't know about the gift from a surprise e-mail from Apple.
