how to restore iPhone 7 messages icon
My messages icon disappeared. How to get it back on my iPhone 7?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, you don't have the Messages app on your iPhone 7.
Make sure the app isn't in your App Library: Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone If it's in the library, locate it in the folder, then tap and hold the icon to see the pop up window. Select 'Add to Home Screen' to put it back.
Make sure there aren't any restrictions blocking you from using the app: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If that's not the case, try to redownload it from the App Store: Redownload apps and games from Apple
