Apple only certifies cables with their proprietary lightning or 30 pin connectors for older devices. You can search Apple’s database of certified cables here: link-> https://mfi.apple.com/account/accessory-search


For USB-C certification, that is down to the USB Implementers Forum: https://www.usb.org/products
