I am unable to pair any of my iPhones to my new Apple TV 4K. I am using the ethernet port which is on the same network as my wireless access points. My old Apple TV works just fine so there’s no network issue.

Well actually I finally found out what the issue was. Apparently Apple has discontinued the use of the remote control app and is using a native built-in one now from the main control screen. I got this information from a friend of mine and sure enough it works now. It needs to be made clear that when you’re using the new Apple TV 4K and potentially with 15.0 that it doesn’t work anymore with the remote app. Only the native remote app I attached a photo from the main screen.

Hi DJmegahertz,

Thanks for reaching out using Apple Support Communities. Here to help.

We understand you're having trouble connecting a new Apple TV to your iPhone.

Is the new Apple TV 4K connected to your network? You may want to confirm the connection using the steps outlined in the article below.

If your Apple TV can't connect to Wi-Fi

We would also consider taking steps to reduce interference and confirm recommended access point settings for your network. The screenshot provided shows multiple Apple TVs listed. Are these on the same network? Consider reducing how many devices are active on a single network band may improve performance and prevent interference. More can be read on these topics in the following articles.

Hope this helps! Take care for now.
