Hi, my watch screen has popped off, yes it’s series 1 so a little older than some but Apple chat suggest it’s a swollen battery and I’ve seen chats on here re extended warranty. Although the person on Apple chat said I shouldn’t listen to rumours! Any advice?

A new battery won't fix your screen so ignore the $79. There is a service program for some Series 2 and Series 3 aluminum watches but none for the Series 1. I wouldn't waste your money fixing it.

doubt there would be extended warranty for a watch that was introduced in
September 12, 2016 and had support end in September 15, 2020
maybe they will repair it for you
Thank you for the reply. There was a huge amount of discussion on here that said they extended the warranty due to the technical fault of the batteries, where many were expanding and popping the screens off. They will repair it, to the potential cost of a brand new one so not real point in that
