safari on MacBook Pro not working
Safari is not working on my MacBook Pro mid 2012 after upgraded operating system to Catalina. Should I reinstall it or go back to an older operating system?

Try these steps first please.
Go step by step and test.
1. Quit Safari, launch Safari holding the Shift key down.

2. Startup in Safe Mode. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/start-up-your-mac-in-safe-mode-mh21245/mac.
