Getting Safari to work after Transferring data using migration assistant.

Migration assistant is totally useless. After transferring my data, which took forever, my safari bookmarks, passwords etc do not work. I'm signed into iCloud and got keychain checked on both machines but low and behold my new mac, 2011 model, using safari and my passwords are gone. I have all my Mac devices on, signed into iCloud , keychain checked yet not one of the devices have the same Safari passwords, bookmarks etc. How do I sync my stuff? Thanks. Apples on line solution is way off.

Hi dfasci,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand you have completed setup of your new Mac, but that your iCloud Keychain and iCloud Passwords do not appear, or appear to be different.

It sounds like you may not be signed in using the same Apple ID on your multiple devices. You may want to follow the guide below, to ensure everything is set up correctly, using the same Apple ID on all devices.

Set up iCloud Keychain and iCloud Passwords

Cheers!
