How do I remove myself from a SPAM group text?

There’s a new type of spam that is using non iMessage to send a message to a group of random numbers. I’ve just been added to 2 today and I’m getting so many texts. I’ve blocked the originating numbers but all the real people responding to it is causing me to have one after another after another texts. I have hidden the alerts but how can I actually leave the conversation? This is SPAM and we need a solution to deal with it.

You can’t add or remove people from group MMS messages or group SMS messages.

Types of group messages

The three types of group messages that you might see are: group iMessage, group MMS, and group SMS. The Messages app automatically chooses the type of group message to send based on you and your recipients' settings, network connection, and carrier plan. For example:

  • If you and your recipients are using Apple devices and iMessage is turned on, then the group message is sent as an iMessage.
  • If you send a group message to people who aren't using iMessage, then the message is sent as an MMS or SMS message.

Every day I am getting group text messages to my iphone11. They come from different numbers each time and to different number each time. They are from Wholesale Foods or so it says in the text body. Every day I get one and so does 14 other randon numbers. This is spam or robo texting. How do I stop it. There is no button to "leave conversation" plus if I did I would just get involved in another one. HELP!

Well aware. Calling number spoofing is routine, which means muting all unrecognized senders, possibly also muting all telephone calls from all unrecognized callers (telephone spam is getting that bad), or carrier assistance with spam messages and some carriers do offer that.
