Mac Air M1 Display Port-audio issue

Have a Mac Air M1 and a Samsung. LC27T55 Monitor with speaker. Works fine with HDMI connection but with Display port connection video is fine but audio “stutters”. Have tried multiple cables with same result, also had main board of display replaced. Appreciate any assistance.

Hey Taurus1958!

Thanks for touching base here in Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you're having trouble with audio using your external display in macOS.

Does this seem to happen with multiple apps and audio related content?

Are you running the most recent version of macOS?

You can also test booting in and out of safe mode to see if the issue continues.

Safe mode will clear the system cache and repair directory related issues.

Checking your hardware connections is also a good idea. If the issue continues you can also try resetting the NVRAM on the Mac.
