Pairing an iPhone XR to JVC KW-R800BT Car Stereo

Dear Community,

I have tried a variety of methods -- found on the Internet -- to "pair" my XR to a JVC car receiver model KW-R800BT. At one point, one of these methods "paired" me to the JVC but the connection disconnected within several seconds. Note that my iPhone 5S always paired easily and reliably to this JVC car stereo.

Please, any known-effective solutions for this problem?

Are you trying to use CarPlay or just pair to your stereo?
