There is no need to create a new Apple ID if you already have an existing Apple ID.

You will want to use your existing Apple ID.

There are good reasons not to create a new Apple ID too, if you already have an Apple ID.

If you don’t already have an Apple ID and cannot create one on the device, then you can create a new Apple ID on the Apple website, and use that (as an “existing”) Apple ID on the device.
