Photos doing a shockingly bad raw conversion here

I've noticed it on this image (An ORF from an olympus EM1X, ISO 3200):


If we zoom in on the upper wing tip, the green background seems to be bleeding over the feathers:


And on the upper wing leading edge, the green is somehow bleeding through, making the wing look transparent. Note, this is default rendering. I've done no additional edits in photos.





Compare with the same parts if the wing but converted in affinity photo:




I don't even understand how photos is doing this. It shouldn't be in de-mosaicing, since at worst that should only be on a 3x3 pixel area.


I realise photos is free - but is this the best we can expect from it, or am I missing something.
