If you downloaded iTunes from the Microsoft App Store, I believe that you do not have to think about updates because Microsoft (and Apple) do all the work for you. I'm not even sure whether you can check which version is installed, but you could try the steps (on the Help menu) mentioned in the next paragraph.

If you have iTunes direct from Apple, the latest version (on the day of writing this) is 12.11.3.17. If you click on Help/About iTunes, you will find which version you have. Also on the Help menu is Check for Updates, which will tell you if there is a newer version.
