Creating contact from recent call

When I create a new contact from recent calls it does not store on contacts.

What should I do?

I have iPhone 12Pro

After you finish a conversation, tap Phone→Recents. ...
Tap the Info button to the right of the number you want to add, it can be from a callyou received or one you initiated. ...
Tap Create New Contact. ...
Tap Add to Existing Contact.
