Strange black spots on my apple pencil 2 nd gen

It's been 3 months since I am using apple pencil with my iPad Air 4,my pencil has got strange black marks on it, are these sign of any damage?

The tiny marks are the (magnetic) contact-points where the pencil touches the chassis of the iPad.


Basic material science tells us that any hard material, such as environmental dust or dirt particles, will embed themselves in softer materials.


The physical contact points of your Pencil against the iPad chassis are perfect example. Environmental contaminants appear to have embed themselves in the softer material of the Pencil housing.
