If you recently purchased a new iPad from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller, and if you meet the other conditions, then you are likely to be eligible for the offer.
The offer is for Apple TV+, not Apple TV, which is different. It means you get one channel for free for a limited time. Other content will have to be payed for separately.
For devices activated on or after July 1st, the free period is 3 months, not a year.
The offer is available in countries and regions where Apple TV+ is available.
