My keys are scratched, can I still trade it in?

I want to get the new M1 MacBook Air and I'm going to trade in my old MacBook Air. It said I was eligible for A$850 but a few of my keycaps(around 6 of them) are a little bit scratched. Do you think if I trade it in, they will lower the value because I think they would only lower the value if the body of the laptop is scratched and not the keycaps.

Depending on your location, Apple partners with third party companies for trade ins of computers. Apple may give you an estimate; however, you will have no idea until the third party company received your laptop, examines it, and then tells you what they are willing to pay for it. You can then decide if you want to go ahead or not.

Make sure you take plenty of pics of it inside and out and keep a copy of the tracking number so you can check on the progress.
