iPad Lan and Wifi connection

I've experienced with an iPad pro that default can link to both Lan and Wifi simultaneously. Is this feature the same also with all the other iPad versions? Thanks

Yes, whilst your iPad is designed to connect directly to a WiFi network, when connected to an appropriate adapter/hub, iPad can also connect to a wired LAN connection. WiFi and LAN connectivity is available to all iPad models. Additionally, if the iPad is a WiFi+Cellular model, you also have access to a Cellular WAN connection.

As for a “simultaneous” connection to both WiFi and LAN, if both are connected, your iPad will only route network traffic to one or other network interface - not both. At a technical level, iOS/iPadOS does not support dual-home network connections.

In simplistic terms, if multiple network interfaces are connected and enabled, iPad will prioritise its network connections in this order:

1) Wired LAN

2) WiFi (WLAN)

3) Cellular
