How can we add lyrics or request lyrics be added to a song?

Are the lyrics in Apple Music added by the artist or by the publisher? Or are they added by Apple?

Hi Matt Sharp,

We understand that you're looking for a way to add or request lyrics to songs in Apple Music.

These two guides will help you add lyrics to your songs.

On Mac: Apple Music User Guide: View and enter lyrics in Music on Mac

On PC: iTunes User Guide: Enter and view lyrics in iTunes on PC

Please note that some music files can't have lyrics added, such as WAV and QuickTime.

Also, if you subscribe to Apple Music, the lyrics will be synced across your devices.
