I’ve read a few people with the same issue but no answer.

ever time my phone updates or restarts, all the texts messages change to the same date and time. The big issue is it’s my business phone and I receive 20-30 texts a day and have thousands from different customers. So If I have a customer txt me in the morning for a job, it could drop to the bottom of the list never to be seen again and I’m loosing jobs/work.

I have the latest version of iOS

iPhone X, iOS 14

Hi kubaszek,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We can definitely understand how concerning it can be for the date and time on your text messages to change. You are seeing this on iOS 14.6, correct? You may want to take a look at you date & time settings. If you go to Settings > General > Date & Time, is it set to "Set Automatically"?

Set the date and time on iPhone

Do you notice if this is happening with only text messages or only iMessage? Both? Does this only happen with old messages or does it happen with new messages you receive as well? Are you using any type of VPN? Does it occur if that is disabled?
