You cannot. You can only pay with the bank account connected to the card/wallet. Visit https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209226 for details.

What’s REALLY old fashioned is checks. Currently the only checks I write are for my monthly condo maintenance (our management company is back in the stone age, I’m surprised I don’t have to chisel them on a stone tablet) and quarterly property tax payments. And I could pay those electronically, but there is a “convenience” charge for doing so that I am not willing to pay. So I write under two dozen checks a year.

Back when I was in the 8th grade we spent a few days in math class learning how to write checks. I suspect that anyone educated in this millennium doesn’t even know how to write a check.

My bank is set up for Apple wallet. I’ve utilized Apple Cash and made deposits into my bank before. I understand using checks is old fashioned as well. To fill in some additional information. I was provided a check from a great friend who is willing to settle the debt on the account. The individual still uses checks and made out a check to Golden. So my credentials are not on the check. I didn’t see an option to mail a check through my Apple Wallet setting under the details of my card. That is why I inquired on here. Then I remembered Apple has the text a specialist feature. The specialist provided the address and also explained I need to place my credentials and card number in the memo.

If the check was made out to me, I would of deposited it in my bank and processed payment electronically through the Wallet and Apple Pay option in settings as I’ve done previously and you have referenced to do so.

Thank you all so much for your help.

Hi, some people don’t trust paying electronically through the Wallet App etc. There have been several recent posts from people that didn’t realize they wouldn’t receive a monthly paper statement and be able to mail in a check. The monthly bill pay that many banks still offer has been an acceptable alternative for them. They trust banks, but not iPhones. 😂😂👍

I would assume that anyone who doesn’t trust paying electronically won’t get an Apple Card, because the process is clearly explained in advertising and when you apply for it in the Wallet (which is the only way to apply). So if they aren’t comfortable with electronic payments they won’t use the Wallet, and will have no way to get an Apple Card, as the Wallet is exclusively for electronic payments.

I have no problem with people not wanting to use electronic payments (my SIL wouldn’t even use an ATM and had no credit cards), but all credit and debit cards are electronic payment methods.

We’re coming from different perspectives. In Florida (where I live) there are seniors that get involved with technology (iPhones/iPads) and credit because their children and grandchildren set it up. They help grandma get the card for the installment plan so they can get Apple technology. Grandma thinks she’s getting paper statements and writes checks. Nope, it ain’t happening. So, they turn to the internet and Apple’s website for help. They end up here asking about mailing a check. I see it happen down here.
